I am always amazed at these Lady Long Riders who set off to ride thousands of miles alone.  What kind of courage does it take as a woman and horsewoman to complete such a journey?  Do they have it from the beginning or do they find it on the trail?  Once they have it …. do they keep it or does self doubt plague them just as it does those of us who have never taken such a risk? 

For all you ladies out there who fear going anywhere alone whether it be to the local store or on a cross country trip, here is another amazing Lady Long Rider, Tracey Elliot-Reep,  who rode from the southern tip of Texas through the rockies and into Canada for a total of 3000 miles on horseback by herself.  She blends her love of the open trail with photography.  Her website boasts photography books of her journeys here and in Europe.
